The Achiever Program

A Second Chance for Justice-Involved Youth

For youth involved with the juvenile justice system, DCC  offers the Achiever Program—a unique, research-based residential initiative that equips participants with education, counseling, career training, and leadership skills.

How It Works

  • Each “Achiever” completes assessments to develop a personalized Individualized Career Success Plan (I-CCSP).
  • Participants receive academic support, vocational training, group and individual counseling, character education, and leadership development.
  • Youth progress through one of four tracks based on needs, skills, and court requirements.
  • Upon program completion, participants graduate into “Empowerment Achievers” and enter a structured re-entry process to ensure lasting success.

The Transition Phase

Re-entry happens in four phases, beginning 180 days before departure. With mentorship, family counseling, wraparound services, and weekly guidance from Career Success Specialists, Empowerment Achievers receive the structure and support they need to thrive in the community.
